Christian Bannister is a musician, designer and developer that enjoys creating interfaces to sound and music through his, company, Subcycle. In this video you can see a demonstration of his project where sound is basically manipulated in real time via finger swipes. Much like using a mouse or touchpad, the touch screen UX is able to adjust the bass, treble and volume of music tracks. According the Christian, once the visual starts making sense then I can begin interacting with it and finding musical ways to engage it or play it like an instrument. This brings the level of engagement of music and musician alot closer so it’ll be interesting what the final development will become.
