A couple of weeks ago I was invited to be part of a panel discussion held by DFW Hispanic Communicators. The topics of discussion were social networking and new media journalism. I was very excited since this was my first ever panel and a little nervous. Other members of the panel were Byrdie Franco acting as mediator, Veronica Torres, Director of Social Media Marketing and Community Relations at Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau and Teevee Aquirre, seo and internet marketing consultant.
We each brought our experiences to the table and the audience seemed very impressed by what we have to say about the growing online media landscape. One half of the audience were professionals who would like to shift to online media while the other half were University of North Texas journalism and advertising students preparing to go out into the real world. It took me about a week before the panel, but I managed to put together a presentation on SlideRocket illustrating the topics presented to us. I believe in open access and online sharing of information that might prove useful to others so this particular presentation can be accessed online. Please feel free to study it and share it with others. Once again, I’d like to thank Byrdie Franco and the DFW Hispanic Communicators organization for making me part of the panel.

Great will be checking. Love the Box effect on the presentation!
You should try it out. It’s sliderocket.com. You can access it anywhere and the paid versions allow others to get into the presentation and make changes from anywhere they have internet connection.
Frankie, your presentation was fantastic. We look forward to inviting you to lead another panel in the future!
Thanks Byrdie!
