The LATISM 13 conference held in New York City turned out to be another successful event. Aside from workshops and seminars based on social media, public relations, education, health, social good and immigration there was a focus on tech startup development and the very first hackathon where individuals collaborate and share ideas on their own platforms and apps. The Latino community is a driving force in today’s online ecosystem and the success in engaging the Latino community is through relationship building and cultural understanding. The Latino voice is being heard and we have both the consumer buying power and technological savvy to succeed in the United States and Latin America.
I wasn’t able to go but I did manage to curate some great tweets from those that did go and attend the event, I think you’ll find these tweets useful for your own inspirations. Also, I added a link to a YouTube channel that offers various recordings taken from the LATISM 2013 conference.
